HP Omen 15-dc1025cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought an HP Omen 15-dc1025cl from costco, and when I went home and finished going through the initial walkthrough I started trying to personalize it. This laptop has rgb keyboard lighting and 4 zone setup according to costco's and HP's own websites. I installed all updates on the computer, and in the microsoft store. Still I did not have all the options in the command center, "Lighting" being the one I was looking for at the time.

After installing all the updates through the local computer updating tool, and the microsoft store, I went here to HP's support section with the software and drivers. From there I went to laptop->let hp detect your product-> selected hp omen 15-dc1025cl

From there I installed the bios firmware pack from june 21, 2019, the bios system firmware from march 18, 2019, the driver grphics from July 5th 2019, the hp audio switch software update from july 1st, 2019 and the OMEN Command Center SDK Package from July 24th, 2019. Still no change.

I then even tried uninstalling and re-installing the omen command center from the microsoft store as I had read someone else say that the preinstalled version that came with their computer seemed to be the issue, but alas that did not work either.

I'm by no means a computer whiz, but believe to be capable with trying to computer issues through googling, redditing and watching how to videos. But unfortunately I'm at a loss here and don't know what else to do.

Any guidance and help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The specs of your machine is

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06459291

It does not say anything about keyboard

And the specs of my machine is (my machine is 114 months old now):

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06095817

which clearly says it has Full-size 4-zone lighting backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and NKRO.

Are you sure your machine has 4-zone lighting keyboard ?

Regards.

I see that on the sheet, but there are other quirks to it too. For example on the spec sheet you shared of my laptop it doesn't list the 2060 gpu which has me wondering if hp's tool where they tell me what laptop I have is not correct.

One the costco link (below) it says that it has a customizable 2 zone dragon backlit keyboard, with a red legend layout. I'm trying to find the other thread that had a list of all the omen laptops and the different capabilities and specs of each all in one sheet with an embedded spreadsheet showing which ones had which capabilities.

That's true, some how HP ignored this, mine has GTX 1070 but ot listed,

>>>> customizable 2 zone dragon backlit keyboard

My machine has Lightning option. I was told ONLY machines with 4-zone options have Lighting tab. Many machine do NOT have Performance Control tab too.
