Hi Guys , i have issue with HP OMEN 15 dc1001nx
overheating when the laptop is plugged in , when the processor in idle it reaches 75 and while gaming it reach 99
i know this is abnormal and games have lag and a lot of drop in FPS this is what i did but didn't work :
1. Update BIOS
2. Reset Windows 10
3. undervolt through intel xtu , MSI afterburner
4.Change thermal paste
5.put the the power mangement state to 99% but the performance is very low and fps is reduced by 50% ( temperature is ok for this around 75% ) but can't keep it up as i have new laptop
6.check fan speed are ok
7.no dust in the fan or laptop
laptop is put over 4 fans stand with 6 speed
all of these things didn't solve the problem , our dealer of HP reject it to be covered under warranty as i lost the invoice . even it is still under warranty
laptop specs :

@M-SAM- Welcome to HP Community!
Normally, we would stop at resetting windows, and dusting the device! You seem to have gone through great lengths to identify the issue and yes, it does seem to be a hardware malfunction, I suggest you check the warranty status by clicking here, if there's a dispute, click on it using the same link and get that fixed, once done, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

@M-SAM- Here's what you need to know as the link I had shared earlier to check the warranty:
- Warranty type - Manufacturer Warranty
- Service type - Wty: HP HW Maintenance Offsite Support
- Status - Active: Covered under Manufacturer warranty, 4 months remaining.
- Start Date - March 27, 2019
- End Date - March 26, 2020
That said, making hardware changes such as thermal paste, or replacing components may void the warranty, and I believe that's what they are referring to, that said, I suggest you check this link as well for further reducing heat on the device.
To thank us for our effort's to help you, give us a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below, and have a great day!
