HP Omen 17 2LE10EA#BED

Hello. I have got a new HP Omen 17 inch gaming laptop that had a FreeDOS on it. I installed the Windows 10 Pro, and all the drivers are up to date.

The problem is, I have the OMEN Command Center installed ( I fixed it recently), but, I still can't open the OMEN Command Center with the OMEN key which is located over the NUM LOCK button on my keyboard. Anyone had some experience with

this?

Help would be awesome! 🙂

Hi @Sleep12,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! As I understand you want the Omen Command Center,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you know that only certain models of the Omen support the Omen Controller?

If your model supports the controller, it would be reinstalled and cannot be retrieved if deleted from the PC unless you reinstall windows back to factory defaults.

As I understand this could be as you have installed Windows 10 Pro, this is not supported on consumer PC's You could try the steps suggested below which should, If not, I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support to order a set of recovery media. so that you can re-install the Operating system and get the computer back to the factory conditions.

That said, I have a few alternate links that should help you download and install the HP System Even Utility which should get you back up and illuminated in the right colors once the Omen Control is installed:

The link for the System Event Utility: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81001-81500/sp81404.exe

Omen Controller: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82154.exe

I would also suggest here is to update the Bios, and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.

If this doesn't work, please use this link (Click here) to obtain a recovery media used to restore to factory defaults.

Keep me posted,
