Having issues with HP.Omen.overlay.overlayhelper error. I tried to repair, then reset and then I deleted it. It made things worse in my Secure Remote Worker V1.7 program I use in my business. Do I need this program? I also get error message inside the same program stating google chrome needs to free up space due to either some features on chrome extension://bicpgcafpnanabffjhclgpeehoadhglp or on teladocservice.lightning.force.com might not work until your clear data that other sites have stored on your device. I clear the data but it just keeps popping up. its causing me now not to be able to work because it drops calls. Im also working with IT from the contract company I work with. I update my windows 11 every day sometimes twice or more each day due to the SRW requirement. Any suggestions?

Hi @TIMNTJ,
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊
1. HP.Omen.overlay Error:
-
You likely don’t need this software. If you don’t game or use HP performance tools, try reinstalling the HP Omen Command Center or check if there are any leftover processes in Task Scheduler that you can disable.
2. Chrome Error (Clear Data Issue):
-
Clear Chrome Data again: Go to Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data and choose All time. Check all options (cookies, cache, etc.).
-
Disable Extensions: Go to chrome://extensions and turn off any extensions, especially the one causing the error.
-
Try Incognito Mode (Ctrl+Shift+N) to see if the issue is still there without extensions.
3. Dropping Calls:
-
Check your network speed using something like Speedtest Make sure you have a stable connection.
-
Close unnecessary apps to free up your laptop’s resources. Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and end tasks you don't need.
-
Reinstall SRW: If Secure Remote Worker (SRW) is still having issues, uninstall and reinstall it to fix any broken parts.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved, and if you feel this reply was helpful, click “Yes”.
