OMEN by HP 15-dc0010nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this problem for over a year and now I am finally getting to asking for help because i'm sick of it. I've looked up every post online asking this same question and none of the solutions worked for me so I stopped trying at some point and I have no idea what to do. All I've wanted to do is open Hp omen control but I get the error "The code execution cannot proceed because SynCom.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Don't refer me to any links on this website or anywhere else because once again, I have tried almost everything. I sat here for hours one day trying to fix it and nothing works. Do I need to just reset my pc completely??? This has happened since the first day I got my computer. Not only do I get this error when I try opening HP omen control. I get it randomly when I use my keyboard, when my computer turns on, and when I'll close a tab or window... and now i'm just so tired of it and I don't know what to do anymore. I really don't expect any solution to help me but i'm at my wits end with this and it feels like there's nothing else to do because i'm not going to figure this out on my own. Is there any way I can reset my computer completely and fix the drivers?? i dont even know whats going on and why it would be so hard to fix this. At this point, I LITERALLY FEEL LIKE HP SENT ME A DEFECTIVE COMPUTER. I spent all this money on a computer for it to constantly annoy me with this and no solution.

@jackeau

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Let's try these steps:

  • 1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
  • 2) Look for OMEN Command Center.
  • 3) Right-click to uninstall.
  • 4) Restart the computer.
  • 5) Install the OMEN Command Center from this link.

Try installing the System Event Utility: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69001-69500/sp69229.exe
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
