Microsoft Windows 11

Hello guys currently having an issue and it's driving me nuts. I have my taskbar set to automatically hide, however HP Omen is bugging it out, making it so I have to press windows just to pull up the taskbar (note this only happens when I have an application open). A solution I tried is setting the apps background permissions to never, and that worked until I launched the app again, and then afterwards nope. I only want the app to run when I have it launched, and nothing more.

If you are experiencing problems with the HP Omen software affecting your taskbar's auto-hide feature, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Disable Background Activity:

  • Open Settings.
  • Navigate to Privacy > Background apps.
  • Locate HP Omen Command Center.
  • Set Let this app run in the background to Never.

Check Application Startup Settings:

  • Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
  • Go to the Startup tab.
  • Find HP Omen Command Center and disable it if it is set to start with Windows.

Update HP Omen Command Center:

  • Make sure your HP Omen Command Center is up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve bugs and improve performance.
  • You can update it via the Microsoft Store or HP Support Assistant.

Reinstall HP Omen Command Center:

  • If updating does not help, try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Omen Command Center.
  • Uninstall the software from Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  • Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store or HP's official website.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Sometimes Windows updates can include fixes for compatibility issues with third-party apps.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.

Adjust Taskbar Settings:

  • Right-click on the Taskbar and go to Taskbar settings.
  • Make sure the Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode and Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode options are enabled.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
