HP Omnibook 5 - how do i limit battery charging to 80%

How do i limit battery charging to 80%? I am using my laptop with a keyboard and rather than permanently plugging in to mains and charging to 100%,, I want to limit charging to 80% in the hope the battery is less detrimentally affected?

I have tried pressing F10 and Fn F10 when it starts up but doesnt bring up the BIOS as advised when googled!

To get into the BIOS you need to turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately tap...tap...tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F10 setup option and press the enter key to get into the BIOS setup menus.

Your notebook may not have a battery charge limiting feature.

Only some select HP business class notebooks have the battery charge limit option in the BIOS.

IMHO, the most important thing to not do is to leave your notebook plugged in to AC power 24/7/365 or that may lead to battery swelling.

Once in a while (like once or twice a month), unplug your notebook from A/C power and run it off the battery until the battery charge indicator reaches 15%, then you can plug it in and recharge the battery.

Another forum member indicated that on some HP Omen notebooks, the HP app has a setting to limit the battery charge.
