I found several HP One Agent apps installed. What does One Agent do? Do I need all of them?

Hi @hardrock3 ,

Thank you for choosing HP Community,

The HP OneAgent app is designed for enterprise IT environments to provide management and monitoring of HP devices such as PCs and printers. Its main functions include managing IT assets, troubleshooting, receiving alerts, and tracking device inventory.

If you find several HP OneAgent apps installed, it may be because they are configured for different roles or device types within your organization's infrastructure. Whether you need all of them depends on several factors:

  1. Functionality: Determine the specific functionality each app provides. Some might focus on particular device categories or specific IT management tasks.
  2. IT Management Needs: Assess your role within the company. If you're not directly involved in IT management, you may not require all versions of the app.
  3. Consult IT Support: It's advisable to reach out to your organization’s IT department to clarify the purpose of each app and whether they are essential for your needs.

Ultimately, the necessity of having multiple OneAgent apps depends on the structure of your IT operations and your position within the organization. Consulting with your IT support team will provide the most direct guidance tailored to your environment.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
