I am facing a persistent issue with my HP Pavilion 15-eg1xxx. Whenever the laptop enters sleep mode, either by closing the lid or selecting sleep from the Start menu, it does not wake up properly. Instead, it shows a black screen, and I have to force a restart by holding down the power button.
Here’s what I have tried so far:
- Updated all drivers and Windows.
- Adjusted power settings (including disabling fast startup).
- Disabled hybrid sleep via Command Prompt.
- Ran HP Hardware Diagnostics, which showed no hardware issues.
None of these steps have resolved the issue. I am looking for any advice or solutions that might help fix this sleep mode problem. Thank you for any assistance you can provide!

I understand you are facing the sleep mode issue you're experiencing with your HP Pavilion 15-Eg1000 can be frustrating. Here are several additional troubleshooting steps and potential solutions to try:

- Enter your laptop's model number and go to the drivers and downloads section.
- Download and install the latest BIOS and chipset drivers.
2. Check for Windows Updates

- Repeat the process for other devices under Human Interface Devices (like your touchpad) and Universal Serial Bus controllers.
6. Check for Firmware Updates on Devices
Ensure that all internal devices like SSDs have the latest firmware. This is particularly relevant for M.2 SSDs, which can have sleep-related firmware bugs.
