HP Pavilion - 15t-cs000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After a power failure during a BIOS update, the laptop was repaired by technician. Now, I was getting an error on boot saying "Manufacture Programming Mode is in Unlock". Furthermore, the original Graphical User Interface (GUI) with mouse support is gone, replaced by a legacy-style text interface which is missing tons of options. The TPM is not recognized by Windows, and Intel Optane has disappeared from the BIOS and OS.

Using BiosConfigUtility64.exe, I entered correct Feature Byte, Build ID, SKU Number, Serial Number, Mac Address, and Mac Address. I was not sure if Product Name would be HP Pavilion Laptop 15t-cs000 or HP Pavilion Laptop 15t-cs0 (this is what is written on the back of laptop and on the sticker inside laptop).  System Board CT Number was a bit tricky to find, but eventually I found a sticker with a small QR  code and text saying "CT: RH**********E5.  I was unable to find System Board ID anywhere inside laptop. BiosConfigUtility64.exe getconfig was saying it is 84BE, but bios image, which i downloaded from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-pavilion-15-cs0000-laptop-pc/20284004 , contains 084B9.bin, 084B9.s12, 084C0.bin, 084C0.s12. This indicates my Laptop's System Board ID is either 84B9 or 84C0. I configured both on bios separately to see difference. Despite filling BIOS config, locking Manufacture Programming Mode, updating bios from windows, and even using USB, I am unable to get original bios GUI interface or settings back. During BIOS recovery using USB with Windows + B + Power Button had original BIOS GUI Interface with mouse cursor was available. However, recovery did not bring back BIOS GUI.

I enabled TPM with following config.
TPM Device
*Available
Hidden
TPM Version
d1.2
d2.0
*f2.0
TPM State
*Enable
Disable
Clear TPM
Yes
*No
TPM Reset to Factory Defaults

*No prompts
Allow user to reject

Though my laptop supports sha1 and sha256, it only allows storing sha1 keys and sha256 bank is empty. Trying to enroll or allocate sha256 keys shows following error.

sudo tpm2_pcrallocate sha256:all
WARNING:esys:src/tss2-esys/api/Esys_PCR_Allocate.c:313:Esys_PCR_Allocate_Finish() Received TPM Error
ERROR:esys:src/tss2-esys/api/Esys_PCR_Allocate.c:110:Esys_PCR_Allocate() Esys Finish ErrorCode (0x000009a2)
ERROR: Could not allocate PCRs.
ERROR: Esys_PCR_Allocate(0x9A2) - tpm:session(1):authorization failure without DA implications
ERROR: Failed TPM2_CC_ECDH_ZGen
ERROR: Unable to run tpm2_pcrallocate

I also have Intel Optane, which is not being shown in the bios. Also, windows bios update and relevant software is not showing it. I am not sure what other settings are missing from my bios.

Why does my board report 84BE while the official drivers target 84B9/84C0? How can I get TPM 2.0 to enroll sha256 keys? How can i show intel optane options in bios? Finally, how can i get original bios interface with GUI?

PS:
Current bios interface looks like this.

Originally bios had this GUI interface.

HP Pavilion 15t-cs000 / DA0G7BMB6D0 rev LN18C1 / 84B9

Inside 084B9.bin, I found this.
Unicode text "84BE" found in A01ODMDxeDriver/PE32 image section at header-offset 5E96Ch
Unicode text "84B9" found in PcdPeim/Raw section at header-offset 10A8h

flashing bios from Bios Recovery using usb, sets Board ID to 84BE, even though actual Board ID is 84B9

Is this issue found in the firmware image on HP support page? Is this the root cause of old GUI interface?
