HP Pavilion Com port?

   I need a USB COM port to run a device.  Device manager shows no ports for the Laptop.  Where do I find the drivers to activate a COM Port?

I have an HP Pavilion X2 detachable # T6S89UA#ABA laptop/tablet.

A USB COM port?

Do you mean a USB port?  This laptop/tablet has one USB 2.0 port.

There are such things as COM ports too. Or do you mean that?

thanks for picking up the question.

I meant a com port. 

The related device that I need to attach is runs on a com port.  So the laptop USB physical connection needs to be able to support a com port.

In device manager, I think I need to see an entry for " Ports (COM & LPT).  There is no Ports entry now.

You will need to buy a USB-serial port adapter.
