dv6700 Notebook PC (dv6928us)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently, I successfully upgraded my DV6700 Laptop (dv6928us) to Windows-10 64 bit and all the devices and drivers are working great.

 

I just see performance issue with the Battery. Getting very less backup.

 

I want to get the BIOS upgraded. Windows 10 Device Manager does not show "Firmware" under its heirarchery.

But F10 BIOS Setup AND under System Information, it shows F.58 version.

 

Where do I get the latest BIOS for this model?

Hi:

 

HP retired support for that model since it is over 10 years old.

 

Although the drivers remain on the HP FTP website, they are difficult to find.

 

Also, the only drivers ever available for that model series were for Windows Vista, so updating the BIOS when running W10 could permanently render your notebook useless.

 

Update at your own risk on W10 and hope for the best, or reinstall Vista.
