Hello,
FIrst off, I want to thank Paul_Tikkanen for posting other helpful posts that's got this computer going. The following are what I have found using various search engines:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/DV2945se-drivers/td-p/1004299
There's one more that I used but I can't seem to find it now...but thanks again Paul_Tikkanen.
I've tried using the HP website to get to the drivers section but apparently it's been deleted as it shows a page with the DV2945SE service tag but no information. You can't even select the link to search for different OS drivers as it seems to be just blue underlined text that changes to the mouse icon to look like a link but does nothing. This is a bit frustrating but I digress.
Everything is working in Windows 10. The computer lags a bit but that was expected going from Vista to 10. At least it's getting updates, boots quicker and Vista drivers still work in 10.
One thing that I want to get a driver for is the touch input device (aka touchpad). The touchpad has the scroll function on the far right of the touchpad but since I don't have a driver for it, it doesn't scroll. According to laptopbeep website (I'm not recommending downloading from there since it's a third party website), it's a ALPS touch input device. Unfortunately, the ALPS Alpine website doesn't give drivers out to anyone besides OEM's. Does anyone have a valid HP link to download this driver?
I'm also curious is there was any BIOS updates since F.26.

Hi:
I'm glad you found my previous posts useful in being able to get W10 to work on your notebook.
F.28 was the last BIOS update for notebook's with the AMD processors.
The problem is you can only run the update with Vista installed. If you try to update the BIOS using W7 or newer the PC will be rendered unusable.
So...if you want to go through the trouble of undoing all of your efforts, and reinstalling Vista, here is the BIOS update...

The only driver available for the touchpad would be the Vista driver. I have no idea if it will work for you.

HP retires support for all consumer class products that are over 10 years old, which is why the driver pages either don't exist, or don't work anymore.
