Noticed that there was an increase in activity. I thought I had already posted my solution but I guess not.
The fix for me was to do the firmware update and I think I also downloaded the driver.
You can go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers to find the proper driver and firmware update for your laptop.
Make sure to do the firmware update first to see if that solves it. I don't remember since it's been a while back but I believe it was the firmware update alone that solved it.
