HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Just got this laptop and linked the Photos App to my google photos account. But now, every time I try to simply open the App, it crashes and closes itself down.

Welcome to the HP Community --

Not sure -- the names of the applications do make a difference.

HP Photos App - no such app under this exact name.

Perhaps you mean HP Smart application for Windows?

HP Smart supports scan, print, and various Shortcuts for managing / saving / printing data in supported Cloud storage services.

Photos App might refer to Microsoft Photos.

Photos works differently from HP Smart -- There are similarities in how the apps work when Microsoft Photos is used to open, view, and then print a photo file from your computer.

Requirements for Microsoft Photos are generally controlled by the permissions and settings in Microsoft Photos.

Google Photos is apparently a software or application for managing photos stored on your device.

I have not used it -- how have you "linked" Google Photos to the "photo app"?

What is the goal - that is, why is Google Photos linked to another app?

Which "App" is crashing?

What have you tried to correct the problem?
