System Power State Notification Driver

Windows cannot load the driver

Driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Digital signature expired

Driver Date; 7/21/2021

Version; 1.0.0.2

This is the last driver marked/problem in device mgr. after clean install. This seems to affect volume, brightness, copying graphics as well as function.

How do I obtain, (identify), and install this driver correctly?

Step 3: Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

Disabling driver signature enforcement can allow the installation of unsigned drivers. However, this should be a temporary solution and used with caution.

  1. Open Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
  2. Under Advanced startup, click Restart now.
  3. After the restart, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  4. After the restart, press 7 or F7 to disable driver signature enforcement.

Step 4: Reinstall the Driver

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Right-click on the HP System Power State Notification device and select Uninstall device. Check box in Dialogue box! (If memory serves, "Remove Driver")
  3. Restart your laptop. Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver upon reboot.
