I have an HP prime calculator. It works great, but it emits a concerning chemically acrid odor when charging. May I get some assistance on this?

That acrid smell during charging is a warning sign — most likely the battery degrading and off-gassing, or a faulty charger pushing too much current. First try a different quality USB charger. If the smell persists, the battery itself is the issue and needs replacing. Either way, don't leave it charging unattended — a failing Li-ion battery is a fire risk.
