HP Probook 4540s

Hello, few days ago I upgraded my Probook 4540s from Win7 to Win10. After upgrade brightness hotkeys don't work, but other hotkeys like volume oraz mute work fine. I read that I probably need HP package  sp87683.exe or sp88033.exe , but I can't find them - links don't work. I just found newer sp103615.exe from this posts but it doesn't work.

Does anyone know working links for this files?

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Those files are for newer notebooks.

HP used to have a W10 hotkey driver for the 4540s but for some reason has removed it from the support page and the FTP site.

I was able to save the file years ago, so you can try it and see if that gets the brightness keys to work.

See this discussion for the link to my Skydrive folder and the file to download.

Solved: FN Keys (Brightness) on HP 4740s in Windows 10 do not work - HP Support Community - 8475709

It worked for the 4740s which is the same model as yours but with the 17.1" display.

Follow the other forum members instruction for how to manually install the driver if you get the same error.
