Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
To use HP QuickDrop, you need a Windows 10 computer with the preinstalled HP QuickDrop app.
Use the following information to pair your Android and/or iOS devices with the computer.
NOTE: Before attempting to pair your devices, make sure both the computer and the mobile device are connected to the same wireless network.
On your computer, search for and open HP QuickDrop. The welcome screen opens with a QR code.
On your mobile device, tap the HP QuickDrop icon to open the mobile app.
Follow the instructions in the mobile app to get started and grant permissions on your device, and then tap Scan QR Code.
Use your device camera to scan the QR code that displays on your computer screen.
After the device and computer are paired, use the HP QuickDrop app to send files, notes, websites, and other items between your device and computer.

The previous response indicated that a computer with Quickdrop pre-installed is required. I suppose that answers the question for those of us with unsupported Orbit installations, for which there is no iOS mobile app. As such, Orbit is worthless. HP seems to think we will ditch our older computers just to get Quickdrop. I can assure you, that is not the case. It would be nifty if HP would provide an upgrade path from Orbit to Quickdrop, or whatever is current at the time.
On second thought - I downloaded Quickdrop iOS app and went through initial setup. The access permissions required to use the app exceed what I am willing to grant to any application during my evaluation phase, so I deleted the app. Certainly, some permissions would need to be granted to allow the app access to resources (photos, camera, etc.) in order to share with linked devices, but I would need to have some assurance those accesses were not exceeding my expectations, by sharing back home to HP, for example.
As intriguing as these apps are, my privacy considerations outweigh the convenience provided.
