Product: HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx Entertainment Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi, I have an HP laptop with a remote that came with it. The remote says RC6 on it and it used to work fine until I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1 but now no matter what it does not work. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with my issue.

HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.
