I'd like to share my experience with a so-called risk-free HP Care Pack and hope that people who might consider purchasing it (if it's still sold) won't make the same mistake and won't touch this thing (or any HP product for that matter) with a 10-foot pole.

In 2020 when purchasing a new notebook I bought this risk-free HP Care pack trusting HP to honor its terms and return the money for it if not used within the specified period (3 years).  So when the 3 years were up I submitted a rebate form (received no confirmation, btw, but ok, I thought - acknowledging a submission is not a requirement), waited 3 months - nothing, emailed the group responsibe for rebate processing asking for update - nothing,  waited some more, sent another email - nothing, decided to involve HP customer support at that time - in contrast to the rebate processing group those customer support folks are extremely responsive but ABSOLUTELY USELESS - I exchanged probably a dozen of emails with them over the course of 1.5 months - every time I email them they act  - they contact somebody, notify, bring to attention, escalate, update ... and nothing happens.

Now, 6 months after I submitted the rebate forms, I can only think that either this whole risk-free promise was a total scam and HP never inteneded to return the money OR in spite of an utter lack of professionalim in the rebate processing group they enjoy total immunity from any oversight (or maybe they get bonuses for every submission that they ignore?).  At this point I'm debating if it's worth the effort to file a case with a small claims court, because it just doesn't seem like anybody in HP will lift a finger to resolve this.

I don't  understand why respond to my post asking to provide serial/product# promising further assistance via a private message just to reply there  "Unfortunately, there are no further actions we can take through this channel." and suggesting to contact HP support which proved absolutely useless over the course of 1.5 month???  Just to imitate some activity here on this forum (look here, folks reading this post, - HP cares!)?  Totally lame - but what else  to expect from a company that has no respect for its customers or its obligations.
