I installed a new hard drive. Went to HP's software for my PC, and my lord I could not believe that I had to download over 17 items. You used to be able to click on one option and get the whole package.
My question is how do I know that everything downloaded?

Hi,
Actually, most likely you do not need to install any of the drivers.
If you let Windows completly update it will find all or most of the drivers for your notebook.
Go into settings > Security and Updates > click on Verify for updates
Let it completely update, you might need to reboot a couple of times.
Next, you can install HP support assistant which will take care of any other updates for the system

Hope it helps,
