Hi,

on the official HP download page I cannot find HP Command Center for my new Spectre X360 16, there is only a "SDK for Command Center". As far as I can see I need this software for optimizing the battery charging behaviour.

Second thing:  HP support assistant does find a newer BIOS for my system, but the sp file fails to install, error message: Not enough space. Seems to be a known issue, the update programm seems to use one of the hidden system partitions. But I could not yet find a workaround.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks and regards,
Stefano

Hi:

The only place I know of where you can find the HP command center software is from the Microsoft Store and I don't believe it will have anything to do with limiting battery charging.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with the BIOS update issue.

There may be an option to update the BIOS from outside of Windows.

Hi Paul,

thanks a lot for contributing. But indeed, I found HP Command Center at Microsoft, and it has nothing to do with battery life extension. Under the link you provided I did find a BIOS update instruction, but it did not work for my Spectre.

Let's hope HP is coming up with this stuff soon.

Thanks and regards

Stefano
