I recently bought a Microsoft Universal foldable keyboard, but cannot get it to connect to my Spectre.
It does not appear to be a fault of the keyboard, as it will connect to my iPhone 8, and my much older HP notebook at work.
The bluetooth works on my spectre, and can connect my phone, external speaker, mouse and my headphones. When searching to add the keyboard it appears in the list, and attempts to connect but instead of the passcode popping up like my other devices I have connected on the Spectre I just get this message:
Please help!!!
Thank you!!

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂
I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that the Microsoft Universal foldable keyboard is unable to connect to your HP Spectre x360 Convertible series laptop. Thanks for sharing the image.
What is the exact laptop model no? This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
While you respond to that, I found this document during my research: https://hp.care/2GpjhIv
This document explains how to connect a Microsoft device to your Windows computer.
You might need the Microsoft® Mouse and Keyboard Center software too: https://hp.care/2GlbNWW
Hope this information helps. Let me know how it goes.
All the best! 🙂
