Hello HP Support Team,

⚠️ I've had ongoing issue regarding my laptop's (HP Spectre x360 - 15-df00xxx) camera drivers not working properly after updating to Windows 11 in Oct 2025. I need to be able to use this integrated laptop camera for virtual meetings and so on.

I tried going to HP Support Assistant to check for any software & driver updates (there is none as of this post).

I also went to device manager via Windows OS and scanned for hardware changes or legacy etc. (no change).
I selected show hidden devices, and there was the Camera section! Though I do not recall the driver names exactly -- there were two. One started with IR and the other had "wide camera" in the name. They were both greyed out, and showed no update from there. I was advised to uninstall them and reboot to see and well, they did not return even under hidden drivers anymore.

Windows settings also shows that there is camera access enabled and for necessary apps, but of course those wouldn't detect it if Windows can't find the drivers.
Camera is enabled in BIOS and privacy settings are correct.

Next thing I did was go to HP website to download the drivers using my serial number. I didn't even see a Camera driver section available at all for Windows 10. No Windows 11 selection in dropdown is available when I search with my serial.

Are there internal or Windows-10-based camera drivers known to work on Windows 11 for this model, or a supported recovery path short of full factory restore?
Can someone send me the correct driver for my model so at least get it back installed on my system?

I checked here too but I'm not sure about these for my model: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=hp+camera

I appreciate the help.

I will be unable to purchase a new laptop for some time. This is the device that is getting me through my schooling so responses about new products will be ignored.
