HP Spectre x360 - 13-4102tu

Have connected an external monitor and using "extended mode" by way for F4 key -  both laptop screen and external monitor are on..

 

I want to have one excel spreadsheet on external monitor (the spreadsheet I am developing) and another excel spreadsheet on the laptop screen (which I want to copy off of)

 

Is this possible?

Thank you for the prompt reply.

 

 The guide link in your answer shows how to go into extended screen mode. I was already there using the f4 button on HP laptop. 

I need advice on how to actually operate on two screens.  My cursor seems to stay on one screen only (either the laptop screen or the external monitor. I cannot bring up or manipulate the excel spreadsheet I wish to use on the other screen.  

I suspect there is a very obvious answer to this but I have not been able to nut  it out. 


Any further advice most appreciated.

Ok. Figured it out. Got the cursor to jump to other monitors.
