I'm not certain and I hope someone can help with this.
First off Windows 11 installed on an encrypted drive. Secondly there is no way to manage drive encryption and third you can't manage Optane Memory in Windows 11. My understanding was you have to turn off drive encryption and optane memory in order to install software, or repartition, etc. It appears you can do both without turning either of them off with windows 11. So far as I can see drive encryption can be bypassed with Window 11. So could someone please help me understand this.
I have the HP Spectre x360 15 with drive encryption and optane memory. I have repartition my drive to where the OS is on the C:\ drive and my data is on the D:\ drive.
One other question. I understand the reasoning behind HP encrypting the drive, but is it really necessary? I am considering turning drive encryption off permanently.
