I too am having the same issue trying to install HP Support Assistant after re-installing Windows 10. I tried using User Account Control and turning it off. Same result when I tried to even install it. And I do not even have it pre-installed either. I have seen some members of the community having this same issue as I and I feel bad for them.

Hi @OmegaEye2032 - Please make sure you install all your Windows Updates because you need a an HP update called "Application Enabling Services". Once it's installed HP Support Assistant will work normally.

I do not see it in my Windows Updates. I recently had to do a re-install of Windows 10 because of some apps and programs are blurring inwards.

I know that I got a reply yesterday about installing an HP Update called "Application Enabling Services". Anyway. My Windows 10 is already up to date and I do not see anything regarding said hp update. Is there a download link that I can use?

I have figured it out. The only way to get HP Support Assistant to work for me was to re-install Windows. But I had to reset everything including removing all of my personal files. But if you are going to re-install Windows after resetting everything, make sure that you backup your personal stuff first. So that's what I did and HP Support Assistant as well as the Application Enabling Services now works.

That's great @OmegaEye2032 . I'm very happy to see you found a work around and preserved your application enabling driver! Kudos!
