After reviewing your post, I understand you are getting this error message on your HP notebook. Don't worry I'll do my best to help you with this.

Just wanted to check when do you get this error message? Are you trying to perform a recovery using the recovery media shipped from HP.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall HP support Assistant and then check.

Let's start off by updating the Bios on your PC either from our HP support  website, using this link or download it using HP support Assistant:

To  download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant. Once done, restart the computer and check if that works.

If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to uninstall and reinstall HP Support Assistant from the control panel:

In Windows, search for an open Uninstall a program.
On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall.
Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Support Assistant.
Restart your computer to complete the process.

Download and install HP support assistant using this link.

Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant.

Now check for the product details.
