I used the HP Support Assistant to update my drivers, and ordinarily it works great. But, it cannot successfully install the Intel Bluetooth Driver:
SoftPaq number: Sp90277
Version: 20.60.2.1
Size: 22.94
When it attempts to do so, a Windows command window starts running the command:
attrib +h c:\system.sav /s /d
But, the command gets the following two errors:
Access denied - C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\CyberLinkCorp.hs.PowerMediaPlayer14forHPConsumerPC_14.2.8929.0_x86__06qsbagp91rvg\VFS\SYSTEM.SAV
Access denied - C:\Windows\InfusedApps\Applications\CyberLinkCorp.hs.PowerMediaPlayer14forHPConsumerPC_14.1.8028.0_x86__06qsbagp91rvg\VFS\
After that command window finishes and closes, there is a long pause, then a window said that it successfully installed it.
But, after that window, HP Support Assistant says that it failed.
Please help?

Hi:
The Intel bluetooth driver instructions state that the old bluetooth software must be removed before installing the update.
Unfortunately, the HPSA isn't smart enough to do that automatically for you.
But if you look at the latest Intel bluetooth driver file on the support page, you will see those instructions...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel Bluetooth in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. In order to install this package correctly, the previous driver must be uninstalled before this package is installed.

I believe you can uninstall the existing Intel Bluetooth software and driver in the Windows control panel>Programs>Uninstall a program.

Just now, I tried uninstalling the Intel Bluetooth driver first, then used HP Support Assistant to Install it, and the installation succeeded. HPSA asked whether the installation succeeded and I said that it did succeed. But, then, I asked HPSA if there are any updates for my laptop, and it said that the Intel Bluetooth driver still needs to be updated.
What is the cause of that? Is HPSA buggy? How to update HPSA?

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why the HPSA is doing that.
You can update to the latest version at the link below, upper right side of the page.
I don't know if that will make any difference or not.

I don't use the HPSA for anything, so I don't know how to troubleshoot any issues with it.
That is one of the first programs I uninstall when I get a new HP PC.
If you let me know what model Intel wifi adapter your notebook has, I can give you the link to the latest Intel bluetooth driver from the Intel website.

I was able to determine that my my version of HPSA is current (8.6.18.11).
I chatted with HP support on this issue, and they recommended removing the Intel Bluetooth Driver from its list of drivers to update. And, I did so. Which works around the problem for now.

I finally got this to work!
1. Turn off anything with Bluetooth nearby.
2. Go to Device Manager and click drop down carrot for Bluetooth.
3. RIght click Intel Wireless Bluetooth and select Properties
4. Click on tab for Driver (note the Driver Version number versus the Softpaq version) and click button for Uninstall Device and at next popup window check box for Delete the Driver software from this Device and then click Uninstall.
5. After uninstall is complete, shut down all applications and restart PC.
6. After restart, open HP Support Assistant and select to install the Softpaq number.
7. Install may take a while and a Dos prompt may show for a few minutes doing nothing. So, go grab some popcorn while waiting.
8. After a few minutes it should be done.
9. To confirm success, go t to Device Manager and click drop down carrot for Bluetooth.
10: RIght click Intel Wireless Bluetooth and select Properties
11. Click tab for Driver and Driver version should be 20.60.0.4
12. Turn on your bluetooth devices again.
Good luck!
