My computer crashed overnight and rebooted. I investigated trying to find the cause. I ran HP Support Assistant, and it said there were no Updates necessary. Upon much web searching, I eventually discovered that my current BIOS was from 2024, 4 versions ago. I had F.13 Rev.A and the current version is F.17 Rev.A. I do run HP Support Assistant occasionally and have never been told a new BIOS version was available because I would have updated it. I wish this consumer laptop would support HP Image Assistant, because that worked much better.

How come HP Support Assistant is not telling me BIOS updates are available?
