Hi,
HP Support Assistant has suggested three updates for my system.
When trying to download them using the Assistant, all installations failed (a phenomenon that was described by some other posters in this forum).
So I looked for each of the three updates directly in the HP site, after finding my computer and operating system there (HP notebook 15-ay011nr, windows 10 64-bit).
I could find two of the updates, but not the third, which is called: "Intel WLAN software for Micorsoft Windows", with Softpaq number SP76133, version 18.40.0.9Pp2 if it's relevant.
When I looked for this softpaq number in the site, I found it, but saw that it is only for windows 7 and 8.
Why does the HP support assistant suggest this as an update for my win 10 system?
Am I supposed to download it?
If not, is there a way to stop the support assistant from thinking that I should install it?
Thanks!
Eitan

Hey there! @Eitan_L, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand that HP support assistant is giving incorrect information.
I would suggest you uninstall all the components of HP support assistant from Programs in control panel.
Restart your PC and reinstall the latest version of HP support assistant from this link: http://hp.care/2ezPyyk
After installation please try checking the updates and see if you still having the same issue.
Please let me know the outcome!
Have a great day! 🙂

Thank you very much, the solution worked even better than expected: the list in the Assistant is now relevant for my model, and additionally the update process through the Assistant itself works now!
Thanks again!
