I have the latest HP support assistant installed on my HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st. It has found 5 drivers I need to update. If I choose INSTALL, it starts installing, the gears turn, but it turns for 30 minutes or more and ultimately says installation failed. This is happening on all 5 updates it is suggesting.
This is a major problem and HP needs to tell me how to fix this.

I can offer the following:
Life Without HP Support Assistant - Update / Install HP Software and Drivers Manually
HP Support Assistant is not mandatory software - if it does not work for any reason or if you simply want to control which updates are installed -- and when these updates are installed -- you may install HP software and Drivers manually.
NOTE
This advice is not meant to be an excuse in case HPSA does not work - lots of people in the world choose to retain control over their systems in this way.
HP PCs - Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers
Your HP Software and Drivers Website Support page
Software and drivers for HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st
- Open the website
- Click "Open All" to expand the entire list
- Use the list of proposed updates from the HP Support Assistant
OR
- Search for recent Updates (for example, search the page for "2019")
Reminder
- Before you install the BIOS update, make sure you have your most critical files backed up where you can access the data in case the computer becomes unavailable.
- The BIOS, should you feel the need to update it at all, should usually be updated last AND by itself (not in combination with any other update or software installation).
- Read any / all information about the update before installing.
- Connect the computer to AC Power (and leave it that way during the entire BIOS update).
NOTE
For the purpose of this exercise, exclude any update / software for the HP Support Assistant itself.
Instead, look for the latest version for this software at the HPSA website (link below).
Attempt to repair the HP Support Assistant - Try / Consider
- Completely uninstall the HP Support Assistant (including any "personal" data) from Programs and Features.
- After the HPSA software is uninstalled from Programs and Features, uninstall the HP Solutions Framework from Programs and Features.
- Restart the computer and log in.
- Download-Save-Install a fresh copy of the HP Support Assistant from the software website.
- Restart the computer and log in.
Installation – HP Support Assistant
Download, Save, Install the latest supported HP version of the HP Support Assistant
Website / Download
- After download: If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator
- After the software is installed: Restart the computer and log in
Optional - After the software is installed, PIN the program to your Windows Start Screen
Windows key (Start) > list "All apps" > open category "H"
Click open category HP Help and Support
Right-Click on HP Support Assistant > PIN to Start

Thanks...that is a possible solution, except that the newer updates I see in HP Assistant have not been uploaded to the support page. This is just poor operation by HP and I seem to have the worst of both worlds here.
Also, I read a story a while back about a security flaw in the Intel Graphics driver...yet I see HP never updated this.

You are welcome.
In general,
Software and Drivers that are listed in the Support Website are updated when these have met certain criteria for inclusion. The "very latest" software / updates may -- or may not -- be immediately included on the Software and Drivers page. Criteria is decided by HP.
I do not comment on policies or service by HP or any other legitimate company. There is no point and I am not an employee.
