Spectre 13t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased a brand new Spectre 13t. Ran HP Support assistant, detected a bunch of updates, installed  most of them, failed to install two:

  1. Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client driver: currently 8.3.10208.5644, failed to update to 8.4.11000.6436.
  2. Realtek High-Definition Audio driver: currently 6.0.1.8437, failed to update to 6.0.1.8510.

Tech support couldn't help. What say you? Did anyone else run into this?

Thanks,

Aqualung

That has hapenned to me in the past. The solution is to go to HP

HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads

page for your model, best way to do that is go to this page and Click Identify button:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/products

Run the tool Click OK to confrim you agree to be identified, then

Click on your exact model then Click

"Drivers and Support" on the left side menu, it will send you to drivers page.

Say identify has sent you to drivers page like this:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-spectre-13-v100-notebook-pc/12499180/model/13958...

There find the failed drivers, manually download them and Run the installation manually.

After it succeeds mark that in HP Support Assistant.

I am just a nerd not HP guy 🙂

Thanks, I tried that. Still ain't workin'. Complains that there are no drivers in that folder for the device I am trying to install. Go figure!
