Hi @JohnnyBob8,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the "Create Account/Sign-in" feature of HP Support Assistant on your HP 17 Laptop PC is not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your laptop is connected to the internet, as signing in or creating an account requires an active internet connection.

Restart HP Support Assistant: Close the HP Support Assistant application and reopen it. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

Update HP Support Assistant: Make sure you're using the latest version of HP Support Assistant. You can update it through the Microsoft Store or by visiting HP's official website.

Run HP Support Assistant as Administrator: Right-click on the HP Support Assistant shortcut and select Run as Administrator to see if this resolves the issue.

Clear Cache and Cookies: If the issue is related to the web login page, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or open the app in an incognito/private browsing window.

Check Date and Time Settings: Incorrect date and time settings can sometimes interfere with online services. Ensure your laptop’s date and time are set correctly.

Reinstall HP Support Assistant: If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling HP Support Assistant:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  • Find HP Support Assistant, select it, and choose Uninstall.
  • After uninstalling, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store or HP's official site.

Check for System Updates: Ensure your operating system is fully updated, as system updates can fix compatibility issues with applications.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
