HP Support Assistant keeps on loading like its stuck when selecting the battery checking function and all the other functions as well. It keeps just loading forever. To get it to work  I had to delete and re-install more than 50 times, and after the first time I accessed after the re-install, everytime it worked, then after just 5 ot 10 mins if I tried to access that after closing the app, it doesnt work, its a like a free ticket I get for downloading the app, absoloutely dissapointed in HP, theres not even a helpline or no email or no contact option, theres no fix, simply nothing. Can't even think about why in the first place I trusted HP, frustrating. Since I have been facing battery degradation problems, it was the only way for me to know that how much the capacity has dropped, but now nothing works. Basically all thats left is a buggy non functional useless pieces of software, with no helpline or no troubleshooting.

Hi @Us1234Er

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I’m truly sorry for the frustration this has caused—and I deeply appreciate the time and effort you’ve already spent reinstalling HP Support Assistant over and over. That kind of persistence deserves better results, especially when you're trying to monitor something as important as battery health.

Since the app becomes unresponsive shortly after installation, the issue likely stems from a background service conflict or a corrupted local cache. While we won’t rely on HP Support Assistant anymore, you can still check your battery’s condition using a more stable method built into Windows.

Alternative Way to Check Battery Health (Without HP Support Assistant)

1. Generate a Battery Report

  • Press Windows + X > select Windows Terminal (Admin).
  • Type the following command and press Enter:powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery-report.html"
  • After a few seconds, open File Explorer and go to C:\battery-report.html.

This opens a detailed battery health report in your browser, including:

  • Design capacity vs. full charge capacity
  • Cycle count
  • Recent usage and charge patterns

Optional: Use HP Diagnostics Hub for Battery Check

If you’d like a visual tool:

Download from: HP Diagnostics Hub

Install and open the app.

Select your device > Battery Check.

This tool replaces older diagnostics and is more stable than HP Support Assistant for many users.

Let me know what the battery report shows or if you’d like help interpreting the numbers.

You’ve done everything right—this approach should give you the insights you need without the app freezing or looping endlessly.
