Hi everyone,

In our company we have some HP computers. And the computers have isntalled and active HP Sure Click.

I want to know if I can and how add exception when downloading from specific website.

We have our internal page for documents and when someone wants to download the document from that page the HP Sure Click activates and wants to have Admin password. Users dont have Admin passwords. And when they download the same file from mailbox the HP Sure Click does not asks for Admin password. It was a simple .msg file.

If you gys have any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

Regards 🙂

The following might - or might not - be relevant.

It is guesswork.

HP Sure Click

Section on "Trusted or Untrusted" and perhaps others...

If you can control the local Browsers presets on your user's systems,

If Sure Click supports the Site Settings option OR at least does not override or interfere,

the following may work.

If you can do so, set / adjust / control the settings on the website.

Open the particular Website in Chrome

Click on the tiny "lock" Lock_icon.png to the left of the URL (web address)

Click / Open Site Settings

Adjust the settings, including the setting for "Automatic Downloads"

Typical choices in Site Settings for different options (for example, Location, Downloads, Images)

  • Ask (Default)
  • Allow
  • Block
