Hi,
For the product number you have given, seems zbook 17 is supportable. (but not sure if Zbook 17 G3 also supports)
try steps provided in previous post.
If issue remains same, better call and connect with HP support.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
Firstly ensure if this docking station support your zbook notebook.
If product number of your docking station is: 3YE87UT#ABA (See "specs" --> "Compatibility" section): https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-thunderbolt-dock-120w-g2-with-audio
Zbook Manual and Maintenance guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06107030.pdf
Then, it is doubtful it may support, still can call check with HP Support.
When supportability confirms.
Refer to Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-zbook-17-g3-mobile-workstation/8693765/model/8693770/documen...
- The drivers for the dock might not be installed. To install the drivers, see Updating the computer.
- Set the dock as the default audio device in the computer settings, or connect the audio device to the computer."
Ensure Notebook and Docking station BIOS/Firmware, Audio, Video Drivers are up to date.
Notebook Drivers page link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-zbook-17-g3-mobile-workstation/8693765/model/869...

So this is it :
First, when I connected it, nothing happened.
I thought it was done, he would have to connect directly.
Well, I look a little on the Internet how is the installation.
I found that I had unstacked peripherals.
So I installed USB-C connectors and the different drivers (HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock Firmware, HP Thunderbolt Dock Software, HP USB-C Mini Dock Driver Pack, Audio Driver Realtek USB and Driver for the Universal Doable Station HP USB-c.
After restarting, my PC did not recognize the station.
I had forgotten something perhaps.
But no, after research I checked the BIOS (it was up to date).
I have been in the BIOS, to change at the Thunderbolt and put user authentication.
Even with this change, nothing happens. Stop and restart repeatedly and nothing.
I uninstalled Thunderbolt and reinstalled software.
Then I reconnected the station and there he recognized the device but simply tells me "USB-C plug can not load your PC."
I was normal since it's a 120W and not a 230W.
Then I unplug the station, I stop everything. Then I restart.
I recover and there miracle the Thunderbolt software recognizes and offers me connect once or always connect, I always choose connect.
And there is gone like casters.
In my opinion, you have to install the different drivers properly. Then restart, then install the Thunderbolt software, restart.
Connect the station and it's good.
I had to make a bad manipulation I think.
Here I hope I explained to you my situation.
Good to you.
