Hi. As mentioned, HP display not working (it`s not starting or showing in system tray, so i cannot change color profiles of my laptop). I`ve tried a lot:
- with ddu uninstalled drivers of internal graphic car, and installed from HP site (old one)
- uninstalled and installed clearly HP Display control services several times (three different versions)
- tried different drivers versions of drivers of HP application Enabling Services (especially 1.83.4311.0 version )
HP display control shown as installed, i can see it in program files in Portrait display folder.
It is not shown in startup apps
In Services - HP Display Control Service by Portrait Displays (HPDCService) status "Running"
When i starting app from its folder happening nothing.
Please. It is very important for work

Back up your important data to an external USB drive or external hard drive. Although the steps I’m describing should not delete any data, it is still good practice to back up your files before trying anything. Now, Follow the repair method shown in the link below:
After the repair process, pause windows update and use ddu in safe mode and install your HP driver. Now Download HP Support Assistant from here and reinstall it:
- Install and Open HP Support Assistant
- Go to Updates
- Look for HP Display Control
- Install the update cleanly
Note- If due to some reasons, you didn't understand or not able to get driver using HP support assistant then download and install hp driver directly from hp driver page of your laptop.
After update complete, restart your laptop, resume windows update and check.
