Hello, HP laptop identifyer does not work.

I give my laptop serial no. and it finds a completely different laptop with it.

If i give the laptop model no. it does not find it.

I can find the specs of the laptop by google the model no. J1Y22EA

- Why cannot HP drivers and downloads find my laptop?

- Please provide a link for the available downloads and drivers.

Hi:

Driver support for the model series has been retired since it is more than 10 years old.

That is why you can't find any drivers for your notebook.

The only place that I know of where you can easily find drivers for your PC would be from this reputable 3rd party driver site.

HP ENVY 15-j160no drivers

If you're running W10 on the PC, the W8.1 drivers should work to install any hardware that W10 didn't install drivers for.

I believe that the W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model notebook will work better than the W8.1 driver.
