Hello,
We are currently experiencing an issue on several laptops, such as an HP Pro Book 450 G8 model.
The computer is connected to an HP G5 dock, when the user disconnects the USB C from the dock and reconnects it later, the keyboard connected to the dock and the following peripherals are in error:
- generic USB hub
- generic SuperSpeed USB hub
You can see this in the attached screenshots.
The only solution to get USB devices working again is to turn off the computer and restart it.
I saw this discussion: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/HP-USB-C-Dock-Station-G5-USB-issue/td-p/8339335
The problem seems similar to mine and one solution given is to disable power management in BIOS.
After making this change, the problem is still present.
It also says that the USB port for the wireless mouse connected to the computer could be problematic, I disconnected it and the problem is still there.
Do you have a solution for this?
In advance, thank you very much for your help.
