I think some of it was my fault but I was hard reseting my laptop one day and I will be honest I’m not a very patient person so after I saw the computer screen in a hour still at 2% I had given up and decided to wait til tomorrow to do it so I shut it down and then the next day I turned it on and it turned on good no problem waited about 5 mins for the computer to completely turn on, then I went to click an app which was the main control panel but it wouldn’t open none of my apps would open and then I saw I wasn’t connected to the WiFi I went to to connect to it but that app wasn’t working my keys still work though as I tried CTRL+ALT and DELETE either it has been 5 days and my laptop is still the same

Hi,

This the worst thing that you could do during RESET. " I’m not a very patient person so after I saw the computer screen in a hour still at 2% I had given up and decided to wait til tomorrow to do it so I shut it down "

Its on a critical stage wherein its trying to install all necessarry drivers and configurations and no matter what the computer shouldnt be shutdown. I believe your computer is installing windows updates. Windows updates nowadays will TAKE SOMETIME TO INSTALL. Normal process is 4-6 hours. It applies to all brands not just HP.

Your best bet is to do a reset again and this time make sure that computer is turned ON

ichi

PS. I installed windows updates last week for 2 days because im using a metered connection of 5Mbps.. Chill

Shut the computer down

Press and hold down ESC then start your computer

Select F11

Troubleshoot

Thank you for that I did exactly that, now there’s another problem at hand what if my computer can’t reset ..?? Like it goes to 37-39% then it shuts down and I have to turn it on again and then redo it all over again for it to shut down at mid 30s

Hi,

Heres a sample on what you should do incase you encountered the scenario youve posted.

TheAutomatic Repair tool automates common diagnostic and repair tasks for startup issues like
non-bootable operating system installations. Automatic Repair starts if the computer fails over into Windows RE because of a detected boot failure.

It may ask you to insert the Installation DVD/USB while doing startup repair.

You have to create an installation media for that.

You may download an ISO from the below link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Once your media is ready follow the steps.

  • After you boot your computer using Windows 10 CD/ DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press any key.

  • Select the correct time and Keyboard type.

  • Click on Repair your computer in the lower left corner.

  • Select Troubleshoot from Choose an option screen.

  • Click on Advanced options in Troubleshoot screen.

  • Click on Automatic Repair from Advanced Options screen.

  • Next, choose the operating system by clicking on its button.

  • Windows 10 will look for problems on hard drive(s) and verify that all required files are intact.
