Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded my laptop from windows 8 to Windows 10 a while ago and cannot use my camera since then. I have tried a few suggested solutions from the Forum to no avail. My Desktop model is 15-ac1017na. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing webcam issues with the HP Laptop.

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try doing Reset PC using windows and check if it works. 
  • Check If your HP Notebook has a physical switch on the right-hand side near the vents. Flick this switch, and your camera should start working. Then flick it again to put it back into privacy mode.
