@murppla, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query regarding the HP Wide Vision HD Camera driver for your HP ENVY Laptop 13-ba1xxx. I understand how important it is to have your webcam working properly, especially for video calls and meetings.
Please follow these steps,
Visit the official HP Drivers page for your model:
Identify your operating system:
The page will prompt you to select your OS (e.g., Windows 11 or Windows 10). Make sure to choose the correct version.
Look under the “Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices” or “Driver-Graphics” section:
The HP Wide Vision HD Camera driver is often bundled with the Windows inbox drivers or included in the Intel chipset or graphics drivers. HP typically does not provide a separate download for the webcam unless it's a third-party camera.
If the camera still doesn’t work:
- Open Device Manager (press Windows + X > Device Manager).
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- Right-click on the camera (e.g., "HP Wide Vision HD Camera" or "USB Video Device") and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
Still not showing up?
Try running Windows Update to ensure all drivers are up to date. HP relies on Windows to deliver many of the latest drivers for built-in components like the webcam.
Also, try installing HP Support assistant - HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
