I have a compaq cq 42 laptop that has a bios password that I do not know. My disable code is 82202601. Can someone help me to access the bios and resolve my issue?
I also have a HP Stream with the code 63565894.
Thanks,
Jockman
I would like to add that I run a computer repair shop and this laptop belongs to a customer whose kids set a bios password and of course can't remember what they did. So it's not stolen or anything like that.

Usually the passcode will clear BIOS passwords. If not, enter BIOS to change password- use the passcode as old password and leave new password blank if desired or whatever customer prefers. Save & Exit.

That is the only passcode generated from the halt code you gave. Double check that it is correct.

Sorry-halt codes preceded by an i are rarely fixed with a passcode. You may be able to clear it by removing RTC battery on motherboard for 5 minutes. If not-contact HP for help.
