HP 15-bw000 Laptop PC

Hello

when i first signed into my new laptop, a pop up appeared asking whether to check warranty status of the laptop, so i clicked ok. I had bought the three year care package. However, it stated that the laptop could not be identified. I did receive a certificate via email of the care package, which states that the warranty is extended. Eventhoughi have the certificate, it is worrying to be told that the HP product cannot be identified. What can be done about this?

Thanks in advance

If you purchased the Care Pack and you have your certificate, then the little "check warranty" setup is likely either "behind the times" or has failed for some other reason.  Failure of the warranty check program does not mean you are  not covered -- it just means the program did not find your computer's information.

Try the "Multiple" system check to see if it works any better (it sometimes does so):

Warranty Check

NOTE:  Use the "multiple systems" method to check your single system or multiple systems

  • If necessary, Select your Country on the main website page
  • Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
  • Enter Serial Number and Country for one or more devices / systems to be checked
  • Click the box to verify you are "Not a robot"
  • Click Submit (at bottom of list entries)
  • When the page opens, Click View Details
