Dear HP Community,

I am facing a issue of HP softwares like Recovery.exe, Detect_adddevice.exe etcThis list continues to  370 in total which is being detected as threat/malware while running a full scan using PROTEGENT Antivirus.  Kindly let me know how to deal with this.

I can attach scan log, if required. I am cautious in deleting all those utilities as these are core ones.

It's clearly a problem known as False Positives with the AV software you are running -- and we can do nothing whatsoever to fix that.

You need to contact the support forum for your AV product to see if they have a definition update that fixes this.
