HPSA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to silently install HPSA and I'd like to include some custom settings.

I found the silent install switches in the support forum:

Install Framework - msiexec /i hpsupportsolutionsframework.msi /qn

Install Support Assistant - setup.exe /s /v/qn

I don't see how I can customize the load behavior of HPSA in the silent installs.

I want to disable the tray icon and all the tasks, because I don't want users to be prompted for updates or see any balloon popups.

I see .XML and .Config files with corresponding names, but these types of settings are not included by default.

Any help would

Hi HKOKO,

I have been battling with this one today.  I cannot find a way to do this so what I did was extract the registry settings from a client PC/Test machine on this version and deployed the reg keys via GPO:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Hewlett-Packard\

A bit of a long way round I guess and I have to wait for all the PC's to update before deploying the package, I guess I could push the package out and then create the reg keys, but just seems a little risky that way round to me.

Oh BTW not sure where you got the MSI from for HPSolutionsFramework but I spent ages trying to work out the silent install parameters for the exe, it turns out that it doesn't have any and silent installs any way (I could cry).

I hope this helps 🙂
