Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HPSC will not install updates. When I try to do it manually Support says my Product Number is wrong and my Serial Number is used on many devices.

 

Since I can't ID this notebook I can't get to the files I need to update.

 

This is the product number taken directly from the HPSA  X7W84UA#ABA

 

Support says it is incorrect.

 

Any ideas.

Sorry if I misunderstood anything, but I was able to access your computer's Software and Drivers page.

 

Here it is: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-ay000-notebook-pc-series-touch/10862302/model...

 

You can then install drivers and there shouldn't be anything in your way.

 

Are you perhaps running into trouble when launching the installer?

Many thanks for your very quick middle-of-the-night response. I followed your leads and found my machine's actual model name 15ay014dx...HP Notebook Touch. From there, the downloads and installs went smoothly.

 

You did a great job and I appreciate it.
