Hi @Rd254,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!
To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?
Meanwhile, you can try these steps:
1. Access BIOS/UEFI Settings
- Turn off your laptop completely.
- Power it back on and repeatedly press the ESC key (or F10, depending on your model) to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
2. Navigate to UEFI Tools
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Advanced" or "Diagnostics" menu.
- Locate the "UEFI Tools" or "HP Hardware Diagnostics" option.
3. Disable or Uninstall Firmware Diagnostic Tools
- Look for options to disable or uninstall HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
If you do not find an uninstall option directly in the BIOS/UEFI menu, you may need to use the software removal approach within your operating system.
4. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows
- If you have HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows installed, you can use it to remove the UEFI Diagnostics.
- Download and install the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows from the HP Support page if not already installed.
5. Uninstall via Windows Tools
- Type Control Panel in the Windows search bar and open it.
- Go to “Programs and Features.”
- Look for HP Hardware Diagnostics or HP Support Assistant and uninstall it from there.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
Best regards,
